Today, I wanted to go over on how you could make your online alias! But first, why would you want to make an alias? Why not just use your legal or IRL name? Well, here are some reasons:
Now let's get to how to make one, if you are struggling. There are three methods:
Basing it on a favorite character is pretty self explanatory. You can pick a character you like and really resonate with, and make it your online alias. For example, if you love and kin Susie from Deltarune, you can use that as your online alias.
For things you like, you can base it on one or multiple things.
If you want to base your alias on one thing, you can just call yourself that, or choose something related to that. For example, If you like Frutiger Aero, you can call yourself Frutiger, Aero, or Gloss.
If you want to base your alias on more than one thing, you can combine two of these things together, make a combination, or choose something related to both themes. For example, if you like rainbows and stars, you can be Star Rainbow, Starbow, or Starlight.
Maybe you already have a username, and want an alias similar to your username.
Lets say your username is:
You can identify which part would be more noticeable. In this case, it's Thorn. So you can use Thorn as your online alias.
So you may be asking, “but, you just told us to not use my name?” Well, I put emphasis on loosely, as in so loose your real name could be unidentifiable.
So, lets say your name is:
First, look up variations and nicknames for your name. Or, try to come up with one yourself:
For this case, we will be choosing Aqua, but we can repeat the process for this one.
You can associate that name with Aquarius and Aquamarine. Aqua also is a blue-green color.
You can choose Blue from the meaning, or you can pick the Marine from Aquamarine. And if you reveal your account or website to your friends or family, they might ask, “How did you get Marina from Aquilina?!”
